Castanheiro SC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Orlando Vinhas ran over to the corner to take the kick. Orlando Vinhas struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Pedrinho Guimarães didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlético da Colina. Pedrinho Guimarães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diguinho Souza in the 41st minute of the match. After 42 minutes Castanheiro SC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Orlando Vinhas who took care of the corner kick. Castanheiro SC's Pedrinho Guimarães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diguinho Souza in the 44th minute of play. After the first half Atlético da Colina were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Diguinho Souza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pedrinho Guimarães was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Diguinho Souza showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 51 minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Atlético da Colina's Diguinho Souza slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pedrinho Guimarães. That made the score 0-4 after 54 minutes of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Diguinho Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlético da Colina's supporters rose to their feet, but Diguinho Souza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedrinho Guimarães breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pedrinho Guimarães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diguinho Souza in the 63rd minute of the match. Castanheiro SC's Pedrinho Guimarães proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Castanheiro SC from getting a goal against them. Ronaldão Trevisan hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute, Diguinho Souza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Diguinho Souza might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedrinho Guimarães. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Diguinho Souza ran back to his position shaking his head. When Diguinho Souza came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Atlético da Colina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diguinho Souza couldn't finish the play. Diguinho Souza received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Pedrinho Guimarães came out and tried to block the shot, but Diguinho Souza slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 81st minute. Diguinho Souza's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedrinho Guimarães read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. In the 88th minute, Diguinho Souza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atlético da Colina fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. When the match was over Atlético da Colina could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Castanheiro SC throughout the match.
