Wesley Quadros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diguinho Gaúcho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wesley Quadros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diguinho Gaúcho in the 3rd minute of the match. In the 5th minute, Cléber da Costa made a precise shot to the right of Wesley Quadros. Los Colonos F.C - FSCMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 8th minute of the match SORRISO E. C. got a corner. Los Colonos F.C - FSCMZ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cléber da Costa ran over to the corner to take the kick. Diguinho Gaúcho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diguinho Gaúcho in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wesley Quadros saved Los Colonos F.C - FSCMZ from getting behind. 23 minutes into the match, Diguinho Gaúcho notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Los Colonos F.C - FSCMZ's Wesley Quadros. Wesley Quadros was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Diguinho Gaúcho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Wesley Quadros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, SORRISO E. C.'s Diguinho Gaúcho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wesley Quadros narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Amadeu de Mendonça kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. If Cléber da Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cléber da Costa's late challenge caught a Los Colonos F.C - FSCMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cléber da Costa helped the player get up and apologised. In the 40th match minute, SORRISO E. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cléber da Costa to maneuver through the defense. When SORRISO E. C.'s Diguinho Gaúcho in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Los Colonos F.C - FSCMZ's goalie prevented a goal. Wesley Quadros was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After the first half SORRISO E. C. were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Diguinho Gaúcho to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, SORRISO E. C.'s Gustavo Romero got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Haroldo Schmidt made in the 60th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Maurinho Valadares however managed to control. Diguinho Gaúcho had several of the Los Colonos F.C - FSCMZ's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 64 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-5 score and a disappointed Wesley Quadros as he didn't even see the shot coming. Christiano Arce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramón Nogueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Diguinho Gaúchos short, quick shot in the 74thth minute got Wesley Quadros to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Los Colonos F.C - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Wesley Quadros, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A sloppy throw-in by Haroldo Schmidt in the 81st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by SORRISO E. C.'s Arnaud Clément. Diguinho Gaúcho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 87th minute Diguinho Gaúcho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wesley Quadros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wesley Quadros made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Cléber da Costa sent off a good shot on target. Diguinho Gaúcho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wesley Quadros having to interfere. Amadeu de Mendonça was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 97 minutes into the match. 96 minutes into the game, one of SORRISO E. C.:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The Los Colonos F.C - FSCMZ fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. SORRISO E. C. were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
