Amadeo Rufo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Joinvilense, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. A collision led to Joinville Esporte Clube getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Fausto Aguiar hit a great ball. Eriberto Leão was out of position in the 6 minute of play, and Guilherme Peres capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Guilherme Peres really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Joinvilense in the 11th minute of play forced Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Amadeo Rufo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eriberto Leão made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Edin Džeko sent off a good shot on target. Eriberto Leão was a little too slow when Edin Džeko got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 17th minute. The score was now 2-0. Joinville Esporte Clube's Zé Joinvilense couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Nova Erechim - FSCMZ. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Joinvilense in the 24th minute of play forced Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Amadeo Rufo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benê de Azevedo tried in the game's 27th match minute to clear up in front of his own goal but it went so bad that he put the ball into the goal to the left of an unhappy Eriberto Leão. An annoying self made goal, 3-0. After 35 minutes Joinville Esporte Clube's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Edin Džeko who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's João Miranda to a score. 4-0 in the 35th minute. In the 40th minute, Guilherme Peres made a precise shot to the right of Eriberto Leão. Joinville Esporte Clube's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Edin Džeko could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Eriberto Leão made a huge save. With an all-out effort, Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's Eriberto Leão threw himself towards the right post 47 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Guilherme Peres, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edin Džeko stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 50 minutes into the match, Guilherme Peres had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eriberto Leão. Joinville Esporte Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Guilherme Peres was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. In the 55th minute, Guilherme Peres ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eriberto Leão was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. Edin Džeko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Eriberto Leão stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hílton Guedes's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. In the 72nd minute of the match Joinville Esporte Clube got a corner. Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Zé Joinvilense ran over to the corner to take the kick. Joinville Esporte Clube's Zé Joinvilense was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Amadeo Rufo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 73rd minute, Marcelinho Maciel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eriberto Leão was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. In the 77th minute Dorian do Nascimento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeo Rufo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edin Džeko in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eriberto Leão saved Joinville Esporte Clube from getting behind. In the 79thth minute of the game Edin Džeko who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Joinville Esporte Clube's Eriberto Leão was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's zone, Zé Joinvilense stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amadeo Rufo came out of the goal and Zé Joinvilense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edin Džeko scored 9-0 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eriberto Leão, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 86 minutes into the game, João Miranda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Joinville Esporte Clube the free kick. After 86 played minutes Nova Erechim - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by João Miranda. Dorian do Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eriberto Leão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelinho Maciel, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. When the referee ended the match the Nova Erechim - FSCMZ players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
