Francisco da Cunha spun around in front of the goal 14 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of SORRISO E. C.'s goal. After 19 minutes Jumeuc Futebol Clube's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Edmílson da Rocha who took care of the corner kick. Edmílson da Rocha made a great header on SORRISO E. C.'s corner, it was just that Jumeuc Futebol Clube's Emerson Paraíba managed to reach the ball for a save. Diguinho Gaúcho struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Emerson Paraíba didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SORRISO E. C.. 29 minutes into the match, Hamilton Luis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Christiano Arce. SORRISO E. Emerson Paraíba was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jumeuc Futebol Clube's Emerson Paraíba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diguinho Gaúcho in the 37th minute of play. If Natã Paraense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Jumeuc Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Joel Saldanha hit a great ball. Emerson Paraíba stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Diguinho Gaúcho's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. When the match clock showed 46 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Diguinho Gaúcho sped through Jumeuc Futebol Clube's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Emerson Paraíba. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

Diguinho Gaúcho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Emerson Paraíba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Diguinho Gaúcho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 57th minute Diguinho Gaúcho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emerson Paraíba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diguinho Gaúcho in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emerson Paraíba saved Jumeuc Futebol Clube from getting behind. Diguinho Gaúcho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Jumeuc Futebol Clube defense, Diguinho Gaúcho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emerson Paraíba. The Jumeuc Futebol Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emerson Paraíba should have stopped the shot. If Diguinho Gaúcho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Diguinho Gaúcho came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the SORRISO E. C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diguinho Gaúcho couldn't finish the play. The supporters of SORRISO E. C. booed when Jumeuc Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Saldanha didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 84th match minute, Jumeuc Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco da Cunha to maneuver through the defense. The corner led SORRISO E. C.'s Edmílson da Rocha to fire away a dangerous shot which Emerson Paraíba despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Diguinho Gaúcho managed to get in a good position for a shot. SORRISO E. C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Diguinho Gaúcho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emerson Paraíba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Diguinho Gaúcho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
