Amadeo Rufo came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Thiago Machado. But to his dismay, Thiago Machado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Amadeo Rufo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Thiago Machado's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. In the 15th minute Thiago Machado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeo Rufo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A throw-in in the 17th minute of the game was made by João Miranda with Severino Vianna as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Coritiba Foot Ball Club's attentive Pedrinho Godoi managed to snatch the ball when João Miranda made a throw-in in the 24th minute of the game. Amadeo Rufo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marquez Padolles, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. 29 minutes into the game, Thiago Machado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Amadeo Rufo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alvaro Rudolfo made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Guilherme Peres sent off a good shot on target. In the 34th minute, Thiago Machado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alvaro Rudolfo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edin Džeko in the 35th minute of play. In the 41st minute, Severino Vianna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Thiago Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Amadeo Rufo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thiago Machado in the 43rd minute of play. Alvaro Rudolfo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guilherme Peres in the 46th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Thiago Machado made a kick off. A collision led to Coritiba Foot Ball Club getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Evaristo Montenegro hit a great ball. After 51 played minutes, Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's Randy Kläser shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alvaro Rudolfo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Nova Erechim - FSCMZ reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelinho Maciel in the 53rd minute of play forced Coritiba Foot Ball Club's goalkeeper Alvaro Rudolfo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thiago Machado might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Amadeo Rufo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Thiago Machado ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Thiago Machado got free with Amadeo Rufo in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Amadeo Rufo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marquez Padolles, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Marquez Padolles kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Amadeo Rufo. That made the score 1-5 in the 66 minute of play. Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Alvaro Rudolfo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edin Džeko in the 70th minute of play. João Miranda kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. In the 77th match minute, Nova Erechim - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Miranda to maneuver through the defense. 78 minutes into the match, Fausto Romero had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Amadeo Rufo. In the 89th minute, Marquez Padolles left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Coritiba Foot Ball Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-7. If Thor Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Nova Erechim - FSCMZ fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Coritiba Foot Ball Club were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
