With a couple of smart ball manuevers Osmar Marinho in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedrinho Guimarães saved Castanheiro SC from getting behind. Aesir FC FSCMZ's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dudu Cardozo in the 17th minute. When the match clock showed 20 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Kauan Rezende sped through Aesir FC FSCMZ's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Duda Soeiro. Duda Soeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kauan Rezende, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 26th match minute, Castanheiro SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliézer da Silveira to maneuver through the defense. In the 30th match minute, Aesir FC FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Délio Araújo to maneuver through the defense. If Délio Araújo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hélder Madureira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duda Soeiro having to interfere. Kauan Rezende came free with the goalkeeper in the 44th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Duda Soeiro could save by the left post. Célio Botelho kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. After 46 played minutes, Castanheiro SC's Célio Pena shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Duda Soeiro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Castanheiro SC reached it. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 53rd minute of the match Castanheiro SC got a corner. Aesir FC FSCMZ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Célio Pena ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Jeferson Mandrak managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After 55 played minutes Aesir FC FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Délio Araújo. Carlos Fernando de Lara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Richard Martins hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Hélder Madureira hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Pedrinho Guimarães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osmar Marinho in the 65th minute of play. Duda Soeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeferson Mandrak, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Pedrinho Guimarães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Fernando de Lara in the 73rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Castanheiro SC's Jeferson Mandrak got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Castanheiro SC's Pedrinho Guimarães proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Castanheiro SC from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Castanheiro SC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Célio Pena hit a great ball. Many of Aesir FC FSCMZ's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Aesir FC FSCMZ may have spent more time on the ball, but Castanheiro SC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
