Froilan Dolcet was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 25th minute Thiago Machado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Froilan Dolcet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Maurinho de Mendonça hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thiago Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Froilan Dolcet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Túlio Geniatulin made a kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Ibirama Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Froilan Dolcet had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Thiago Machado. Marquez Padolles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thiago Machado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Froilan Dolcet read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Thiago Machado sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Froilan Dolcet narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Fausto Romero in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
