C. fans' excitement grew in the 4th match minute when SORRISO E. C.'s Diguinho Gaúcho looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Diguinho Gaúcho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eriberto Leão having to interfere. Diguinho Gaúcho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Diguinho Gaúcho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Eriberto Leão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 19th minute Hüsnü Saltuk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eriberto Leão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SORRISO E. C. were awarded a corner in the 20th minute after Joinville Esporte Clube's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cléber da Costa took the corner. The corner led to SORRISO E. C.'s Doni Velloso getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Eriberto Leão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diguinho Gaúcho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Geovanni Leite got a throw-in 27 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Célio Mangueira. In the 29th minute Cléber da Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eriberto Leão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eriberto Leão didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cléber da Costa went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Eriberto Leão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cléber da Costa in the 39th minute of the match. Eriberto Leão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cléber da Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eriberto Leão came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by SORRISO E. C.'s Cléber da Costa. But to his dismay, Cléber da Costa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zé Joinvilense was the one to do the kick off. Diguinho Gaúcho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eriberto Leão having to interfere. Dorian do Nascimento charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dorian do Nascimento the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dorian do Nascimento hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. After 55 minutes of play, SORRISO E. C.'s Diguinho Gaúcho made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eriberto Leão was left in no man's land by his defense there! Diguinho Gaúcho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eriberto Leão having to interfere. Diguinho Gaúcho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Eriberto Leão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 62 played minutes Joinville Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Geovanni Leite. In the 70th minute of the match, Cléber da Costa got a very nice opportunity to score, but Eriberto Leão was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 74 minutes into the match, Joinville Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Eriberto Leão had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Diguinho Gaúcho. If Diguinho Gaúcho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eriberto Leão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diguinho Gaúcho in the 81st minute of the match. Diguinho Gaúcho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 88 minutes, the score became 0-6 when Diguinho Gaúcho sped through Joinville Esporte Clube's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Eriberto Leão. Diguinho Gaúcho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eriberto Leão having to interfere. 93 minutes into the game, Diguinho Gaúcho recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Eriberto Leão. Diguinho Gaúcho showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-7. SORRISO E. C.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
