After a defensive mix-up in Brütten's zone, Edoardo Corna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yan Fossati came out of the goal and Edoardo Corna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alexander Bettinelli blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rolf Skarsø having to make a save. Rolf Skarsø made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Zbytniewski in the 33rd minute of play. Yan Fossati took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edoardo Corna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Brütten's goalkeeper Yan Fossati, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With an all-out effort, Brütten's Rolf Skarsø threw himself towards the right post 61 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Earnest Höltschi, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pavel Lukšík in the 62nd minute of play forced Brütten's goalkeeper Yan Fossati to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yan Fossati stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edoardo Corna's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. In the 85th minute of the match, Edward Zbytniewski tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rolf Skarsø saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line.
