In the 9th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Miralles to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Panama's Marcos Cotilla got control of the ball when Joaquin Lorien tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hernan Goren didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Panama's Tomas Berganza shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jacinto Varela during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joaquin Lorien was the one to do the kick off. Abraham Alguacil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 67th minute, Victor Flores hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomas Berganza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruno Romildo in the 70th minute of the match. Tomas Berganza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Abraham Alguacil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Hernan Goren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 80th minute of the match, Tomas Berganza tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Hernan Goren saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Hernan Goren made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Abraham Alguacil sent off a good shot on target. Miguel Miralles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hernan Goren having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Tomas Berganza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Panama's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Berganza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hernan Goren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 93 minutes into the game, Felipe Ros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Panama's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BERMEJO the free kick. In the 93rd match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felipe Ros to maneuver through the defense. After 95 played minutes BERMEJO got a freekick which was hit by Raul Dantae. The BERMEJO fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Panama were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
