In the 6th match minute, Castanheiro SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelo Eger to maneuver through the defense. Doni Seco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roman Reynardo in the 8th minute of the match. Doni Seco made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Niceto Perpinya sent off a good shot on target. Bruno Pascal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelo Eger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Gamberro's Marcelo Orti got a free kick in the 14th minute. Deportivo Gamberro's Bruno Pascal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauro Sarmento in the 15th minute of play. Serafim Cearense kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, Deportivo Gamberro's goal looked a bit too open when Telmo da Fonseca came free, but Bruno Pascal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bruno Pascal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauro Sarmento in the 26th minute of the match. Bruno Pascal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Júnior Alagoano, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roman Reynardo in the 30th minute of play forced Castanheiro SC's goalkeeper Doni Seco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Deportivo Gamberro's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Niceto Perpinya received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Doni Seco came out and tried to block the shot, but Niceto Perpinya slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 39th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcelo Eger to make the kick off. After 51 played minutes Deportivo Gamberro got a freekick which was hit by Alvaro Henrico. The supporters of Deportivo Gamberro booed when Castanheiro SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fiori Félix didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 54 minutes, Primitivo Cordaro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deportivo Gamberro and the Castanheiro SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Castanheiro SC's João Vítor Ferreira was substituted for Mauro Sarmento. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Gamberro's Primitivo Cordaro got a free kick in the 55th minute. Doni Seco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roman Reynardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Primitivo Cordaro was shown his second yellow card after 59 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Gamberro's Primitivo Cordaro got a free kick in the 60th minute. Deportivo Gamberro made a substitution. Eduardo Frantzes replaced Diego Eneko. The supporters of Castanheiro SC booed when Deportivo Gamberro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primitivo Cordaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Castanheiro SC's Marcelo Eger shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 61st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Bruno Pascal but with some difficulty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelo Eger in the 66th minute of play forced Deportivo Gamberro's goalkeeper Bruno Pascal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Doni Seco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laureano Harri in the 68th minute of play. Castanheiro SC's Marcelo Eger was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Bruno Pascal in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. João Vítor Ferreira hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. After 94 played minutes Castanheiro SC got a freekick which was hit by Marcelo Eger. In the 96th match minute, Deportivo Gamberro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alvaro Henrico to maneuver through the defense.

Deportivo Gamberro's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
