Leopoldo Trigo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 16 played minutes Flamengo CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by Leopoldo Trigo. Flamengo CIMZ's Édouard Mendy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulisses Sabóia in the 20th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Flamengo CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Enéas Pereira came free, but Édouard Mendy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. André Barros was slow to take the kick. During this time Flamengo CIMZ's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Flamengo CIMZ's André Barros to fire away a dangerous shot which Bebeto Trigo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Niceto Frichoso made a kick off.
