Jonathan Errapel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waldo Renteria in the 11th minute of play. In the 12th minute Cascade Park West were awarded a corner. Amir Lee went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Rashad Richardson heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Jonathan Errapel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Waldo Renteria's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. With a little luck, Cascade Park West's Dario Wilhelm got control of the ball when Rodolfo Cordeiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Santa Maradona's goalkeeper Jonathan Errapel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Waldo Renteria in the 31st minute of play forced Santa Maradona's goalkeeper Jonathan Errapel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Errapel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wang Sha Qian, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Waldo Renteria to make the kick off. Dario Wilhelm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodolfo Cordeiro in the 55th minute of the match. Cascade Park West's Wang Sha Qian got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Santa Maradona's Jonathan Errapel got control of the ball when Waldo Renteria tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cascade Park West's Dario Wilhelm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodolfo Cordeiro in the 72nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Waldo Renteria got free with Jonathan Errapel in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cascade Park West made a substitution. Humberto Lange replaced Allen Dalton. If Waldo Renteria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rigoberto Thomas might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dario Wilhelm.
