Alfons Lövgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Pavon, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Alfons Lövgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tobias Lidon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Bernardo Silva fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bahrtys Talanger's protests and gave Bernardo Silva a yellow card for diving instead. When Elphin Gota fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Internet XAire's protests and gave Elphin Gota a yellow card for diving instead. Elphin Gota hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. After having played for 21 minutes, Bernardo Silva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bahrtys Talanger's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernardo Silva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Oswaldo Oswald made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Silva in the 23rd minute of play. In the 25th minute Alfredo Pavon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfons Lövgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, Internet XAire's goalkeeper Oswaldo Oswald had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bernardo Silva. Alfons Lövgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victorio Perico in the 32nd minute of play. Bahrtys Talanger's Alfons Lövgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tobias Lidon in the 34th minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Tobias Lidon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alfons Lövgren. Bahrtys Talanger's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tobias Lidon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 47th minute, Filiberto Paz made a precise shot to the right of Alfons Lövgren. Bahrtys Talanger's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. After the first half Internet XAire were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fabian Hermansson to make the kick off. After 55 played minutes Bahrtys Talanger got a freekick which was hit by Kåre Adelsköld. A collision led to Internet XAire getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Teodosio Pacho hit a great ball. Oswaldo Oswald took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 68 minutes into the match, Internet XAire's goal looked a bit too open when Fabian Hermansson came free, but Oswaldo Oswald reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Internet XAire's Benigno Pisculichi was substituted for Gary Neville. Bahrtys Talanger made a substitution. Feliks Kosakowski replaced Ola Strömqvist. If Apolo Maule had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 76 minutes into the match, Bahrtys Talanger's goal looked a bit too open when Benigno Pisculichi came free, but Alfons Lövgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 79th match minute, Internet XAire was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodosio Pacho to maneuver through the defense. In the 80th minute Bernardo Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oswaldo Oswald saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Internet XAire's Alfons Lövgren threw himself towards the right post 83 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Benigno Pisculichi, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a defensive mix-up in Bahrtys Talanger's zone, Filiberto Paz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfons Lövgren came out of the goal and Filiberto Paz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Internet XAire supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Internet XAire would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
