Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Kyle Davies kicked off to start the match. Freddy Freytag showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kyle Davies, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. In the 21st minute of the game, Stefan Kauth landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. When Troy Kennedy fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Curacao's protests and gave Troy Kennedy a yellow card for diving instead. In the 22nd minute, Troy Kennedy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 23rd minute, Damian Scholtz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Damian Scholtz came free with the goalkeeper in the 26th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Bruno Barrett could save by the left post. 29 minutes into the game, VfL Wolfsburg's Damian Scholtz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bruno Barrett made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. After 32 minutes of play, Curacao's Kyle Davies made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Freddy Freytag was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 35 minutes of play Curacao's Troy Kennedy was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The VfL Wolfsburg fans' excitement grew in the 37th match minute when VfL Wolfsburg's Damian Scholtz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Matt Graul's late challenge caught a Curacao's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Matt Graul helped the player get up and apologised. Matt Graul hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 49th minute, Rocco Owen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Curacao's supporters rose to their feet, but Rocco Owen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Freddy Freytag breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Damian Scholtz was the one to do the kick off. 55 minutes into the game, Kyle Davies was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Curacao's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave VfL Wolfsburg the free kick. In the 55th match minute, Curacao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kyle Davies to maneuver through the defense. Freddy Freytag made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Stanley Wallace sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice moves Lochlan Newman could shoot a difficult shot in the 62nd minute, which Freddy Freytag however easily saved by the left post. With a little luck, VfL Wolfsburg's Freddy Freytag got control of the ball when Stanley Wallace tried to sneak it across the goal line. Matt Graul kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. After 78 minutes of play Curacao's Kyle Davies was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. Damian Scholtz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jordan Porter's late challenge caught a VfL Wolfsburg's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jordan Porter helped the player get up and apologised. After 86 played minutes Curacao got a freekick which was hit by Jordan Porter. Bruno Barrett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damian Scholtz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 89 minutes into the game, Marshall Graham was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Curacao's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave VfL Wolfsburg the free kick.
