Milosz Kuszczak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elard Braun-Seitz, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Frank Groth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Milosz Kuszczak having to interfere. Elard Braun-Seitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pompiliu Roşculeţ's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Milosz Kuszczak read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. Blue Lions FC's Milosz Kuszczak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laurențiu Cinteză in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Jiang Jun Yin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Johnny Banks was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. With a little luck, Blue Lions FC's Milosz Kuszczak got control of the ball when Manfred Kottsieper tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Blue Lions FC's Jocelyn Bonnal got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Milosz Kuszczak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richard Otte in the 85th minute of play. Richard Otte scored 2-4 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Milosz Kuszczak, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Hamburg's Elard Braun-Seitz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Milosz Kuszczak. That made the score 2-5 after 96 minutes of play. When the final whistle sounded FC Hamburg left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Blue Lions FC.
