Michael Kvalfält ran over to the corner to take the kick. João Pedro Meirelles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rähim Sterling in the 12th minute of play. João Pedro Meirelles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donato de Salles in the 13th minute of the match. João Pedro Meirelles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rähim Sterling, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Garphyttan's Dinaras Kantauskas got a free kick in the 18th minute. Filipe Abraão's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erik Skog read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Tomb Raider FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rähim Sterling came free, but João Pedro Meirelles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner led to Garphyttan's Dinaras Kantauskas getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Erik Skog took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Constantijn Schoovaerts, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rähim Sterling in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg João Pedro Meirelles saved Tomb Raider FC from getting behind. 30 minutes into the game, Constantijn Schoovaerts was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tomb Raider FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Garphyttan the free kick. After 33 minutes Tomb Raider FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Michael Kvalfält who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Garphyttan's corner Donato de Salles fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and João Pedro Meirelles quite easily take care of the ball. Pedro Luiz Cordeiro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 34thth minute tested the skills of Erik Skog when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 41st minute, Garphyttan's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Váldson Palmeira fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Viktor Albäck hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Garphyttan's Dinaras Kantauskas got a free kick in the 47th minute. After having played for 48 minutes, Filipe Abraão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tomb Raider FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filipe Abraão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rähim Sterling to make the kick off. In the 63rd match minute, Garphyttan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulf Wennerquist to maneuver through the defense. In the 64th minute of the match Filipe Abraão sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Erik Skog skillfully saved the ball. During the 69th minute of the match Constantijn Schoovaerts completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Constantijn Schoovaerts a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game.
