The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hílton Abraão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's Heiko Iepstra suffered a sore foot after 24 minutes and couldn't finish the game. In the 25th minute, Natã Cardoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Cachaça FC's Nicolae Siclovan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ronaldão Souza. That made the score 1-0 after 31 minutes of play. FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's Ronaldão Souza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolae Siclovan in the 36th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Cachaça FC's Natã Cardoso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ronaldão Souza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Túlio Gaúcho kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Natã Cardoso kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ronaldão Souza. That made the score 2-0 in the 45 minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Túlio Gaúcho to strike the kick off in the second half. Ronaldão Souza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolae Siclovan, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's Ronaldão Souza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frederico de Lima in the 63rd minute of play. In the 65th minute Natã Cardoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldão Souza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA defense, Nicolae Siclovan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ronaldão Souza. The FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ronaldão Souza should have stopped the shot. In the 76th minute Natã Cardoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldão Souza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Válbson Guerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Cássio da Silva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Túlio Gaúcho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ronaldão Souza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicolae Siclovan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frederico de Lima recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cachaça FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
