Club Athletico Paulistano's Oséas Quintal was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 5th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Guido Santikurtz charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Guido Santikurtz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Club Athletico Paulistano booed when ATLETICO TOSODELMA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gualter Loureiro made a great header on Club Athletico Paulistano's corner, it was just that ATLETICO TOSODELMA's Julian Favila managed to reach the ball for a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oséas Quintal got free with Julian Favila in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 25 played minutes Club Athletico Paulistano got a freekick which was hit by Virgílio Travassos. A collision led to Club Athletico Paulistano getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. André Luís Lira hit a great ball. When Oséas Quintal fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Athletico Paulistano's protests and gave Oséas Quintal a yellow card for diving instead. Oséas Quintal hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Oséas Quintal made a kick off. After a rather tough play, ATLETICO TOSODELMA's Marcelo Jenaro got a free kick in the 51st minute. Club Athletico Paulistano were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after ATLETICO TOSODELMA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Oséas Quintal took the corner. Ovidio Rolado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 62nd minute Luiz Gustavo Urbano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julian Favila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julian Favila stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Oséas Quintal's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Marcelo Jenaro hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Tony Valadares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guido Santikurtz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 71st match minute, Club Athletico Paulistano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gernando Montenegro to maneuver through the defense. In the 73rd minute, ATLETICO TOSODELMA's Ovidio Rolado ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tony Valadares. Tony Valadares yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. Oséas Quintal was shown his second yellow card after 83 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Ovidio Rolado came free with the goalkeeper in the 86th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Tony Valadares could save by the left post. Tony Valadares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ovidio Rolado in the 92nd minute of play. Many of ATLETICO TOSODELMA's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. ATLETICO TOSODELMA may have spent more time on the ball, but Club Athletico Paulistano were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
