In the 9th minute of the match Fabrício de Alcântara shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tolek Makarewicz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 11 minutes, Gwidon Zima mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zielonka Gdansk and the Club Athletico Paulistano players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Zielonka Gdansk's Gwidon Zima got a free kick in the 11th minute. Oséas Quintal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Club Athletico Paulistano's Tony Valadares got control of the ball when Benedykt Solibieda tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tolek Makarewicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oséas Quintal in the 15th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Club Athletico Paulistano's goalkeeper Tony Valadares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benedykt Solibieda. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luiz Gustavo Urbano during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 22nd minute, Luiz Gustavo Urbano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oséas Quintal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edmund Komornicki might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tony Valadares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edmund Komornicki ran back to his position shaking his head. Manfredo Bertassi kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. During the 44th minute of the match Luiz Gustavo Urbano completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Luiz Gustavo Urbano a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 45 played minutes Club Athletico Paulistano got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Gustavo Urbano. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Oséas Quintal was the one to do the kick off. Aleksander Hajduk took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tony Valadares. Tony Valadares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 57th match minute, Zielonka Gdansk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jakub Ankiewicz to maneuver through the defense. Fabrício de Alcântara shot from long distance in the 60th minute, but Tolek Makarewicz was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. André Luís Lira kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Tony Valadares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maciej Zdrojowy in the 69th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, Jakub Ankiewicz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tony Valadares. Club Athletico Paulistano's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jakub Ankiewicz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Club Athletico Paulistano:s Tony Valadares showed great skill when he stopped Gwidon Zima:s penalty. Tony Valadares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benedykt Solibieda in the 90th minute of the match. Zielonka Gdansk's Tolek Makarewicz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Zielonka Gdansk from getting a goal against them. Fabrício de Alcântara's late challenge caught a Zielonka Gdansk's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabrício de Alcântara helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Club Athletico Paulistano getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Fabrício de Alcântara hit a great ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Zielonka Gdansk fully deserved thier win.
