An unexpectedly hard shot by Augusto Dracena in the 7th minute of play forced Club Athletico Paulistano's goalkeeper Tony Valadares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manfredo Bertassi's late challenge caught a Leão STAND BY FSCMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Manfredo Bertassi helped the player get up and apologised. After 10 played minutes Club Athletico Paulistano got a freekick which was hit by Manfredo Bertassi. In the 13th minute, André Luís Lira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. André Coutinho was out of position in the 17 minute of play, and Oséas Quintal capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Oséas Quintal really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oséas Quintal in the 20th minute of play forced Leão STAND BY FSCMZ's goalkeeper André Coutinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Leão STAND BY FSCMZ's goalkeeper André Coutinho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Oséas Quintal. Oséas Quintal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Coutinho having to interfere. 45 minutes into the match, Oséas Quintal notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Leão STAND BY FSCMZ's André Coutinho. André Coutinho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Augusto Dracena stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Luiz Gustavo Urbano struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. André Coutinho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Athletico Paulistano. After 56 minutes of play, Club Athletico Paulistano's André Luís Lira made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. André Coutinho was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fernandão Lopes hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Oséas Quintal took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 60th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for André Coutinho. Leão STAND BY FSCMZ's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. André Coutinho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luiz Gustavo Urbano went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of Leão STAND BY FSCMZ booed when Club Athletico Paulistano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Luís Lira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Denílson Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tony Valadares having to interfere. Tony Valadares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardinho Zonta in the 76th minute of play. André Coutinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Gustavo Urbano in the 78th minute of the match. Denílson Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. A collision led to Leão STAND BY FSCMZ getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Denílson Queirós hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Club Athletico Paulistano's André Luís Lira got a free kick in the 81st minute. Augusto Dracena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Augusto Dracena got free with Tony Valadares in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 95th minute, Anselmo Cabral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. For all the effort they put into the match, the Leão STAND BY FSCMZ players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Club Athletico Paulistano.
