When the match clock showed 3 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Basarab Arotăriței sped through Zielonka Gdansk's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tolek Makarewicz. Mariusz Borowski's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 6thth minute, Dacian Iurea skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 8thth minute of the game Basarab Arotăriței who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zielonka Gdansk's Tolek Makarewicz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tolek Makarewicz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Berea Luca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 12 minutes into the match, Zielonka Gdansk's goal looked a bit too open when Basarab Arotăriței came free, but Tolek Makarewicz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dacian Iurea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maciej Zdrojowy, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mariusz Borowski during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Zielonka Gdansk getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Mariusz Borowski hit a great ball. In the 19th minute of the match Gigi Ardeleanu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tolek Makarewicz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Adrian Hâldan kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Kazimierz Glozor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Dacian Iurea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Zielonka Gdansk booed when FC Berea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Hâldan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mariusz Borowski got his second yellow card in the match during the 27th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 28th minute, Mariusz Borowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zielonka Gdansk's Tolek Makarewicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Berea Luca in the 31st minute of play. Tolek Makarewicz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basarab Arotăriței, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wladyslaw Cytrynski hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Gigi Ardeleanu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 36th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tolek Makarewicz. Zielonka Gdansk's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Eric Dărmănescu put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Tolek Makarewicz. After a defensive mix-up in Zielonka Gdansk's zone, Basarab Arotăriței stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tolek Makarewicz came out of the goal and Basarab Arotăriței tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Basarab Arotăriței made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Edmund Komornicki left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Zielonka Gdansk fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Zielonka Gdansk's Tolek Makarewicz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Zielonka Gdansk from getting a goal against them. 58 minutes into the match, Zielonka Gdansk's goal looked a bit too open when Berea Avram came free, but Tolek Makarewicz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 59 minutes into the game, when Korneliusz Frankowski put in a rough tackle. After 63 minutes Zielonka Gdansk's goalkeeper Tolek Makarewicz managed, with a little bit of luck, save Basarab Arotăriței's penalty, on his right side after a tricky shot. Martin Coraș charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Martin Coraș the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Maciej Zdrojowy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dacian Iurea read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Eric Dărmănescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 73rd match minute, FC Berea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eric Dărmănescu to maneuver through the defense. Berea Luca could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Tolek Makarewicz made a huge save. In the 84th minute, FC Berea's Eric Dărmănescu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tolek Makarewicz. Tolek Makarewicz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. 87 minutes into the match, Zielonka Gdansk's goal looked a bit too open when Basarab Arotăriței came free, but Tolek Makarewicz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Berea Luca kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. After 93 played minutes FC Berea got a freekick which was hit by Liviu Mihaiu. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Maciej Zdrojowy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zielonka Gdansk's supporters rose to their feet, but Maciej Zdrojowy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dacian Iurea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
