The referee felt a red card was in order, 34 minutes into the game, when Berea Matei put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 34th minute of the game. One of FC Berea:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Leão STAND BY FSCMZ:s goal. FC Berea:s Dacian Iurea showed great skill when he stopped Maurinho Mandrak:s penalty. Leão STAND BY FSCMZ's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Maurinho Mandrak in the 38th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
Dacian Iurea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denílson Queirós in the 52nd minute of play. When Eric Dărmănescu came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the FC Berea fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eric Dărmănescu couldn't finish the play. Dacian Iurea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denílson Queirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. After 57 played minutes FC Berea got a freekick which was hit by Berea Avram. FC Berea's Liviu Mihaiu was substituted for Gigi Ardeleanu. The FC Berea fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardinho Zonta in the 66th minute of play forced FC Berea's goalkeeper Dacian Iurea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Horea Panaitoiu came free with the goalkeeper in the 70th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Bernardo Carneiro could save by the left post. Dacian Iurea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardinho Zonta, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 77th minute Ricardinho Zonta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dacian Iurea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Basarab Arotăriței charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Bernardo Carneiro came out of the goal and Eric Dărmănescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augusto Dracena in the 89th minute of play forced FC Berea's goalkeeper Dacian Iurea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 93 minutes into the match, Leão STAND BY FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Basarab Arotăriței came free, but Bernardo Carneiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Basarab Arotăriței fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Carneiro having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 97 minutes, Basarab Arotăriței took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Bernardo Carneiro to make any attempt to save it. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched FC Berea eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
