Elias Botello scored 1-0 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Urbes Cenzano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 6 minutes, Cristian Llantada mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Puerto Quito and the All Boys 22 players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of All Boys 22 booed when Club Puerto Quito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Llantada didn't get a good kick on the ball. Club Puerto Quito's Urbes Cenzano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arturo Farias in the 7th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elias Botello got free with Urbes Cenzano in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 12 minutes of play, Club Puerto Quito's Urki Espino made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcial Fidele was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Urki Espino in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcial Fidele prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 21 minutes into the match, Club Puerto Quito's goal looked a bit too open when Teobaldo Norino came free, but Urbes Cenzano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 23 minutes into the game, Javier Viviano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. All Boys 22's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Puerto Quito the free kick. In the 23rd minute, Javier Viviano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 24th minute of the match Sergio Piña shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcial Fidele showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. All Boys 22's Marcial Fidele played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Llantada in the 28th minute of play. In the 30th minute Rodolfo Bonilla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcial Fidele saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcial Fidele took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodolfo Bonilla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Teobaldo Norino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodolfo Bonilla in the 37th minute of play forced All Boys 22's goalkeeper Marcial Fidele to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 42 minutes into the match, All Boys 22's goal looked a bit too open when Virgilio Leciana came free, but Marcial Fidele reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Javier Viviano got his second yellow card in the match during the 45th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 46th minute, Javier Viviano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Elias Botello stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Urki Espino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 50th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marcial Fidele took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodolfo Bonilla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bonifacio Banegas kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Marcial Fidele acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 63rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Sergio Piña. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elias Botello during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 68 minutes of play, Club Puerto Quito's Urki Espino made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pepito Plasencia scored 1-5 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcial Fidele, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. All Boys 22's defense didn't have a chance, in the 92nd minute, when Rodolfo Bonilla scored to the left of an out of position Marcial Fidele, making the score, 1-6. Club Puerto Quito's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
