When Dacian Jurăscu came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the FC Cosula-BTF- fans jumped to their feet. The Mijdrecht Maffia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rik Numan should have stopped the shot. Ilie Brumaru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michael Kuijsten, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Mijdrecht Maffia's Rik Numan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Mijdrecht Maffia from getting a goal against them. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Filip Hosu to strike the kick off in the second half.
