Fernando Veloso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arnaldo Teixeira during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 20th minute, Naldo Marquez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The 100 Chance fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Arnaldo Teixeira was shown his second yellow card after 24 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Morro Grande E.C booed when 100 Chance was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnaldo Teixeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlos Augusto Martins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Leopoldo Cerezo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leopoldo Cerezo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Paulo Costa in the 29th minute of the match. Wilian de Almeida kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. After 43 played minutes Morro Grande E.C got a freekick which was hit by José Augusto Travassos. Dráuzio Paraíba scored 0-5 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fernando Veloso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 47th match minute, Morro Grande E.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Augusto Martins to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dráuzio Paraíba made a kick off. With a little luck, Morro Grande E.C's Fernando Veloso got control of the ball when Luís Fábio Machado tried to sneak it across the goal line. Morro Grande E.C's Fernando Veloso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dráuzio Paraíba in the 71st minute of play. After 72 played minutes Morro Grande E.C got a freekick which was hit by José Augusto Travassos. Fernando Veloso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Fábio Andrade, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Fernando Veloso made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Naldo Marquez sent off a good shot on target. Fernando Veloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dráuzio Paraíba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dráuzio Paraíba in the 80th minute of play forced Morro Grande E.C's goalkeeper Fernando Veloso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The 100 Chance fans' excitement grew in the 83rd match minute when 100 Chance's Dráuzio Paraíba looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-7 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 87th match minute, Morro Grande E.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilian de Almeida to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 90 minutes, the score became 0-8 when Dráuzio Paraíba sped through Morro Grande E.C's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fernando Veloso. 100 Chance played a much better game than Morro Grande E.C and deserved their victory. The Morro Grande E.C players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
