Fernando Veloso came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by ꑿ.Ꮳ. ꋪꋬℑꋬꇓ's César Fantini. But to his dismay, César Fantini quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Fernando Veloso made an important save on a dangerous shot by César Fantini in the 10th minute. A nice corner shot did that Téo Magalhães got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Fernando Veloso quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Oswaldo Paulista received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Fernando Veloso came out and tried to block the shot, but Oswaldo Paulista slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 15th minute. After a rather tough play, Morro Grande E.C's Leonel Donatello got a free kick in the 19th minute. After 20 minutes, Tomás Magalhães mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Morro Grande E.C and the ꑿ.Ꮳ. ꋪꋬℑꋬꇓ players grew even worse after the yellow card. The audience was convinced that Rui Castro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fernando Veloso was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. A collision led to Morro Grande E.C getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Leonel Donatello hit a great ball. Rui Castro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fernando Veloso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. When the match clock showed 28 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Eriberto da Fonseca sped through Morro Grande E.C's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fernando Veloso. In the 31st match minute, Morro Grande E.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Augusto Martins to maneuver through the defense. 34 minutes into the game, Oswaldo Paulista cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Fernando Veloso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gabriel Fontes hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carlos Augusto Martins stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Morro Grande E.C's Fernando Veloso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rui Castro in the 53rd minute of play. In the 57th minute João Augusto de Sena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Veloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When César Fantini got free in front of the goal in the 58th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Fernando Veloso was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. ꑿ.Ꮳ. ꋪꋬℑꋬꇓ's Rui Castro got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Belmiro de Godoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Fernando Veloso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. ꑿ.Ꮳ. ꋪꋬℑꋬꇓ's Rui Castro got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leonel Donatello hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Fernando Veloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Didi Dionísio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When ꑿ.Ꮳ. ꋪꋬℑꋬꇓ's César Fantini in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Morro Grande E.C's goalie prevented a goal. After some careless play in the Morro Grande E.C defense, Rui Castro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fernando Veloso. The Morro Grande E.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fernando Veloso should have stopped the shot. Fernando Veloso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from César Fantini went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. Rui Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Veloso having to interfere. Gabriel Fontes hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. After 94 minutes, Téo Magalhães mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ꑿ.Ꮳ. ꋪꋬℑꋬꇓ and the Morro Grande E.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 94 played minutes ꑿ.Ꮳ. ꋪꋬℑꋬꇓ got a freekick which was hit by Téo Magalhães. In the 97th minute, César Fantini ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fernando Veloso was frozen by the shot and now it was 9-0. There was no doubt that ꑿ.Ꮳ. ꋪꋬℑꋬꇓ were the better team. ꑿ.Ꮳ. ꋪꋬℑꋬꇓ's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
