C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's Yang Ming Ran proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save C Ａ R D I N Ａ L from getting a goal against them. In the 9th minute Cazimir Bărbătescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but La Para saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. La Para stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iordache Donici's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. In the 19th minute, Gu Hui Liang hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. La Para took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iordache Donici, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 25 minutes into the match, FC Lugano's goal looked a bit too open when Robert Ţugui came free, but La Para reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herminio Vincente in the 29th minute of play forced FC Lugano's goalkeeper La Para to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of C Ａ R D I N Ａ L booed when FC Lugano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nereo Precioso didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Lugano's La Para played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iordache Donici in the 43rd minute of play. C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's Yang Ming Ran proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save C Ａ R D I N Ａ L from getting a goal against them. 47 minutes into the match, FC Lugano's goal looked a bit too open when Herminio Vincente came free, but La Para reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fred Lara to strike the kick off in the second half. When FC Lugano's Fred Lara in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's goalie prevented a goal. Yang Ming Ran came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Lugano's Jack Saunders. But to his dismay, Jack Saunders quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Fred Lara managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Lugano's supporters rose to their feet, but Fred Lara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yang Ming Ran breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. FC Lugano's Enéas Silva was substituted for Igor Linares. In the 63rd minute of the match, Robert Ţugui got a very nice opportunity to score, but La Para was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Yang Ming Ran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fred Lara in the 68th minute of play. With a little luck, FC Lugano's La Para got control of the ball when Iordache Donici tried to sneak it across the goal line. La Para made an important save on a dangerous shot by Robert Ţugui in the 72nd minute. With his leg La Para managed to avoid a goal in the 74thth minute, when C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's Iordache Donici fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. FC Lugano's La Para proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save FC Lugano from getting a goal against them. After 78 minutes, Gu Hui Liang mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C Ａ R D I N Ａ L and the FC Lugano players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 78th minute, Gu Hui Liang hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Lugano made a substitution. Jakub Waselenczuk replaced Fred Lara. FC Lugano's Klas Tingelholm was substituted for Jack Saunders. The supporters of FC Lugano booed when C Ａ R D I N Ａ L was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gu Hui Liang didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Lugano's La Para proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save FC Lugano from getting a goal against them. Yang Ming Ran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yusuf Ziya Cerit in the 87th minute of the match. After 88 played minutes FC Lugano got a freekick which was hit by Klas Tingelholm. 90 minutes into the match, C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's goal looked a bit too open when Jakub Waselenczuk came free, but Yang Ming Ran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yang Ming Ran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jakub Waselenczuk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 93 minutes into the match, Jakub Waselenczuk had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Yang Ming Ran. C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jakub Waselenczuk was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0.

FC Lugano's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
