The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Gabbro FC's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alessandro Mancinelli came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 8th minute of play forced Gabbro FC's goalkeeper Alessandro Mancinelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alessandro Mancinelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 10th minute of the match. Edvard Slæggerup received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gabbro FC's goalkeeper Alessandro Mancinelli, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 22nd match minute, Gabbro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dobromir Psotka to maneuver through the defense. After 23 played minutes, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alessandro Mancinelli came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ecuador reached it. Alessandro Mancinelli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 33rd minute of play forced Gabbro FC's goalkeeper Alessandro Mancinelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edvard Slæggerup's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 40thth minute, Julio Vera skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Dobromir Psotka's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dobromir Psotka helped the player get up and apologised. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 46 played minutes Gabbro FC got a freekick which was hit by Eugenio Casadei.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edvard Slæggerup in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alessandro Mancinelli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 53rd minute of play. In the 54th minute Edvard Slæggerup shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 55 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Wieslaw Wawro who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Lasse Eskeland managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edvard Slæggerup, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Edvard Slæggerup kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alessandro Mancinelli having to interfere. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Alessandro Mancinelli made a huge save. Edvard Slæggerup received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Ecuador players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
