Edmundo Guimarães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Falcão Marques in the 14th minute of the match. In the 15th minute Gil dos Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmundo Guimarães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Falcão Marques in the 16th minute of play forced Ogro F.C.'s goalkeeper Edmundo Guimarães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Ogro F.C.'s Celsinho de Almeida got a free kick in the 20th minute. After 21 minutes, João Francisco Alagoano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ogro F.C. and the Rondinone F.C - FDFDF players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 21st minute, João Francisco Alagoano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 23 played minutes Cuca Teixeira rounded Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Edmundo Guimarães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adalberto Vianna, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After 32 played minutes Ogro F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Celsinho de Almeida. Rafinha Sergipano might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edmundo Guimarães. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rafinha Sergipano ran back to his position shaking his head. 36 minutes into the game, Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's Falcão Marques nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edmundo Guimarães made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Ogro F.C.'s Edmundo Guimarães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gil dos Santos in the 39th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adalberto Vianna in the 40th minute of play forced Ogro F.C.'s goalkeeper Edmundo Guimarães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edmundo Guimarães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adalberto Vianna in the 42nd minute of play. When Evandro Passos fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ogro F.C.'s protests and gave Evandro Passos a yellow card for diving instead. Evandro Passos hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. When Adriano Secco came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Rondinone F.C - FDFDF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adriano Secco couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Ogro F.C. getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Evandro Passos hit a great ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Falcão Marques was the one to do the kick off. Charles Sarmento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Durvalino Abraão in the 51st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adalberto Vianna in the 53rd minute of play forced Ogro F.C.'s goalkeeper Edmundo Guimarães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edmundo Guimarães didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gil dos Santos went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. The supporters of Rondinone F.C - FDFDF booed when Ogro F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelo Alves didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Gil dos Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd minute, Cuca Teixeira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Charles Sarmento was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's Luís Eduardo Arce was substituted for Gil dos Santos. Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's Tiago Fontes was substituted for Adriano Secco. Rondinone F.C - FDFDF made a substitution.
