Gerson Viana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Freire in the 12th minute of the match. Gerson Viana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro Proença in the 25th minute of play. When Aesir FC FSCMZ's Andrézinho Antunes in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 48th minute Mauro Proença shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerson Viana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mauro Proença stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee ignored Aesir FC FSCMZ's protests and gave Marcelo Pirani a yellow card for diving instead. After having played for 94 minutes, Mauro Proença managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Floresta Negra FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mauro Proença was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Aesir FC FSCMZ had won after a very even match.
