Hudson Esteves hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. After 9 minutes, Mauro Proença made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Que se abra o mar's Leandro Cardozo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Mauro Proença in the 12thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Leandro Cardozo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. José Paulo Toscano hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Que se abra o mar's Leandro Cardozo got control of the ball when Gabriel Freire tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Que se abra o mar fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when Que se abra o mar's Ronaldo Serra looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Mauro Proença had several of the Que se abra o mar's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 23 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-1 score and a disappointed Leandro Cardozo as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 27th match minute, Que se abra o mar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hudson Esteves to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Mauro Proença's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leandro Cardozo was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Que se abra o mar's João Carlos Baptista got a free kick in the 29th minute. Oséas Leme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudinei Silveira in the 31st minute of play. Mauro Proenças short, quick shot in the 33rdth minute got Leandro Cardozo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After having played for 34 minutes, Sydney Mota managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Que se abra o mar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sydney Mota was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The wind increased when Mauro Proença made the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, Fausto Corrêa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Que se abra o mar booed when Floresta Negra FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Paulo Toscano didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Floresta Negra FC's zone, Claudinei Silveira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oséas Leme came out of the goal and Claudinei Silveira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Floresta Negra FC's Fausto Corrêa got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Floresta Negra FC's Oséas Leme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldo Serra in the 64th minute of play. Claudinei Silveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Oséas Leme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 67 played minutes Floresta Negra FC got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Freire. Leandro Cardozo didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Floresta Negra FC's Mauro Proença shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 5-1 in the ordered_time% minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by João Carlos Baptista during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Que se abra o mar getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. João Carlos Baptista hit a great ball. After 76 played minutes Floresta Negra FC got a freekick which was hit by José Paulo Paulista. When Claudinei Silveira came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Que se abra o mar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudinei Silveira couldn't finish the play. Ronaldo Serra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Que se abra o mar booed when Floresta Negra FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Freire didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th minute Mauro Proença shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leandro Cardozo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Floresta Negra FC fully deserved thier win.
