In the 9th minute Nilmar Freitas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raúl de Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gino Carneiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Raúl de Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, DENVER™'s Nilton Netto got a free kick in the 12th minute. Luís Eduardo Araújo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. DENVER™'s Delfim Bastos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dé Paiva in the 20th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as DENVER™'s Guilherme Abud slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Raúl de Amaral. That made the score 1-0 after 32 minutes of play. After 37th play minutes Nilmar Freitas shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Raúl de Amaral and just under the crossbar into goal. Delfim Bastos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerson Ramos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guilherme Abud sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Diguinho Vargas was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 47 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dé Paiva made a kick off. In the 58th match minute, DENVER™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Conrado Paraibano to maneuver through the defense. Delfim Bastos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dé Paiva in the 64th minute of the match. After 68 minutes, Nilmar Freitas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the DENVER™ and the Mestre GG players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 68 played minutes DENVER™ got a freekick which was hit by Nilmar Freitas. DENVER™ made a substitution. Márcio Guedes replaced Nilton Netto. In the 76th match minute, DENVER™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cleithon Minuhin to maneuver through the defense. Gino Carneiro struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Raúl de Amaral didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for DENVER™. In the 90th minute, Waldir Romero ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Raúl de Amaral was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1.
