Chicão Barbosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Válbson Schmidt in the 16th minute of play. Vágner Seco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Emerson Chaves made a huge save. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ogro F.C.'s goalkeeper Chicão Barbosa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Xande Musiala had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chicão Barbosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldo Viana in the 29th minute of play. In the 31st minute Ronaldo Viana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chicão Barbosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ogro F.C.'s Chicão Barbosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lamine Xande in the 34th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lamine Xande in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Chicão Barbosa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Chicão Barbosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lamine Xande in the 42nd minute of the match. In the 48th minute, Válbson Schmidt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The New Joinville - FSCMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lamine Xande to make the kick off. In the 56th minute New Joinville - FSCMZ were awarded a corner. Válbson Schmidt went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Ronaldo Viana managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. New Joinville - FSCMZ made a substitution. Robinho de Souza replaced Xande Musiala. 70 minutes into the match, Válbson Schmidt dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Chicão Barbosa, 0-3. Chicão Barbosa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4.
