Arnaldo Ramos hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. A.A. Francana's Telmo Trigo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save A.A. Francana from getting a goal against them. In the 16th match minute, A.A. Francana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cido Vinhas to maneuver through the defense. In the 18th minute, Ruy Fantini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Evandro Mangueira fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored A.A. Francana's protests and gave Evandro Mangueira a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to A.A. Francana getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Evandro Mangueira hit a great ball. After 23 played minutes A.A. Francana got a freekick which was hit by João Adolfo Leite. 25 minutes into the game, Hélder Simão cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Telmo Trigo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Chris Adler hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. After 35 played minutes A.A. Francana got a freekick which was hit by Válbson Soeiro. When Hélder Simão came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Ogro F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hélder Simão couldn't finish the play. Chicão Barbosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Válbson Soeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. If João Adolfo Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd minute, Cássio Viana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chris Adler hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hélder Simão to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Tico Torres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Telmo Trigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cido Vinhas during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. During the 57th minute of the match Chris Adler completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Chris Adler a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 57th match minute, Ogro F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chris Adler to maneuver through the defense. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ogro F.C.'s goalkeeper Chicão Barbosa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Telmo Trigo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vágner Seco in the 64th minute of the match. Vágner Seco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Telmo Trigo having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marcelo Alves during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of A.A. Francana booed when Ogro F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelo Alves didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 72nd play minutes Vágner Seco shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Telmo Trigo and just under the crossbar into goal. If Vágner Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when João Adolfo Leite got free with Chicão Barbosa in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in A.A. Francana's zone, Vágner Seco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Telmo Trigo came out of the goal and Vágner Seco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 83 played minutes Ogro F.C. got a freekick which was hit by João Francisco Alagoano. Chicão Barbosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Adolfo Leite in the 85th minute of play. In the 85th match minute, Ogro F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cauan Gonçalves to maneuver through the defense. A.A. Francana's Cido Vinhas got his second yellow card of the match in the 87th minute. The referee ordered Cido Vinhas off the ground. Cido Vinhas kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. 90 minutes into the match, Tico Torres had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Telmo Trigo. A.A. Francana's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tico Torres was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Arnaldo Ramos kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Vágner Seco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Telmo Trigo having to make a save.
