Olivier Dubs made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alexandrino Gameiro in the 13th minute. After taking down the ball on FC Anderlecht Huachipato's corner Jude Cruz fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Olivier Dubs quite easily take care of the ball. 16 minutes into the match, FC Anderlecht Huachipato's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandre Xande came free, but Serbülent Baysan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Victorio Monte got free with Olivier Dubs in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gino de Brito in the 24th minute of play forced FC Anderlecht Huachipato's goalkeeper Serbülent Baysan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olivier Dubs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos José Opazo in the 32nd minute of play. In the 34th minute Alexandre Xande shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serbülent Baysan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Serbülent Baysan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alexandre Xande's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. After some careless play in the FC Anderlecht Huachipato defense, Gino de Brito kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Serbülent Baysan. The FC Anderlecht Huachipato fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Serbülent Baysan should have stopped the shot. In the 45th minute Przemyslaw Tworek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serbülent Baysan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 46th minute, Gino de Brito ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Serbülent Baysan was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Toninho Cosme was the one to do the kick off. Victorio Monte's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Olivier Dubs read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. Serbülent Baysan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Przemyslaw Tworek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Przemyslaw Tworek did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-3 to the left of a surprised Serbülent Baysan 57 minutes into the match. Serbülent Baysan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toninho Cosme in the 61st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gino de Brito got free with Serbülent Baysan in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 67th match minute, BEST FABIO F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexandre Xande to maneuver through the defense. BEST FABIO F.C. made a substitution. Juninho de Sena replaced Vicente Dantas. The supporters of FC Anderlecht Huachipato booed when BEST FABIO F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexandre Xande didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as BEST FABIO F.C.'s Przemyslaw Tworek slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Serbülent Baysan. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Israel Felo took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Serbülent Baysan to make any attempt to save it. FC Anderlecht Huachipato's Serbülent Baysan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save FC Anderlecht Huachipato from getting a goal against them. Przemyslaw Tworek took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Serbülent Baysan. Serbülent Baysan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. In the 93rd minute, BEST FABIO F.C.'s Przemyslaw Tworek ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Serbülent Baysan. Serbülent Baysan yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-7. After a rather tough play, FC Anderlecht Huachipato's Ricky Martin got a free kick in the 95th minute.
