The supporters of Yo Soy Tu Padre booed when BEST FABIO F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vicente Dantas didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Efrain Emmanuel fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. In the 16th minute of the match, Fabian Oborski tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Nery Pumpido saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After having played for 17 minutes, Fabian Oborski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BEST FABIO F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabian Oborski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Fabian Oborski managed to get in a good position for a shot. BEST FABIO F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Fabian Oborski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nery Pumpido breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
Efrain Emmanuel hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. If Fabian Oborski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 53rd minute Fabian Oborski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nery Pumpido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 55 minutes into the match, Yo Soy Tu Padre's goal looked a bit too open when Fabian Oborski came free, but Nery Pumpido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olivier Dubs made an important save on a dangerous shot by Armando Araoz in the 56th minute. 62 minutes into the game, BEST FABIO F.C.'s Fabian Oborski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. BEST FABIO F.C. were awarded a corner in the 73th minute after Yo Soy Tu Padre's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Juninho de Sena took the corner. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Oborski in the 93rd minute of play forced Yo Soy Tu Padre's goalkeeper Nery Pumpido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 96th minute, Yo Soy Tu Padre's Segundo Urbez seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Segundo Urbez the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Yo Soy Tu Padre protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Segundo Urbez had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 95 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Yo Soy Tu Padre!
