Armando Araoz started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Yo Soy Tu Padre's Teobaldo Hibai got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Rodolfo Munhoz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Nery Pumpido made a huge save. With his leg Nery Pumpido managed to avoid a goal in the 14thth minute, when October 04's Rodolfo Munhoz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After some careless play in the October 04 defense, Filomeno Chaime kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Davi Couto. The October 04 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Davi Couto should have stopped the shot. Filomeno Chaime sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wesley Teles received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nery Pumpido came out and tried to block the shot, but Wesley Teles slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 26th minute. Filomeno Chaime's late challenge caught a October 04's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Filomeno Chaime helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Yo Soy Tu Padre getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Filomeno Chaime hit a great ball. Nery Pumpido made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Rodolfo Munhoz sent off a good shot on target. Yo Soy Tu Padre's Nery Pumpido proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Yo Soy Tu Padre from getting a goal against them. Davi Couto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filomeno Chaime in the 33rd minute of play. When October 04's Wesley Teles in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Yo Soy Tu Padre's goalie prevented a goal. Tião Amaral kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Wesley Teles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Nery Pumpido tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bianco Garcia hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The supporters of October 04 booed when Yo Soy Tu Padre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 49 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bianco Garcia didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Rodolfo Munhoz made the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, Cipriano Mosen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 58th minute of the match Durvalino Albuquerque shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nery Pumpido showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Nery Pumpido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wesley Teles in the 60th minute of play. 62 minutes into the game, Wilian Alcântara cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Nery Pumpido was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of October 04 booed when Yo Soy Tu Padre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bianco Garcia didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 69th minute, one of Yo Soy Tu Padre:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Yo Soy Tu Padre. In the 70th minute, Rodolfo Munhoz made a precise shot to the right of Nery Pumpido. Yo Soy Tu Padre's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Nery Pumpido took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wesley Teles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Armando Araoz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Davi Couto having to interfere. Nery Pumpido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilian Alcântara in the 78th minute of the match. When Armando Araoz came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Yo Soy Tu Padre fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armando Araoz couldn't finish the play. In the 95th match minute, Yo Soy Tu Padre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armando Araoz to maneuver through the defense. Filomeno Chaime got his second yellow card in the match during the 97th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. 102 minutes into the match, Yo Soy Tu Padre's goal looked a bit too open when Geraldo Schmidt came free, but Nery Pumpido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
