Hüsnü Saltuk took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 10th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ignacy Zagrobelny. KS LEW Chorzów's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pedro Luís Alcântara got free with Christiano Arce in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 17th minute, one of SORRISO E. C.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SORRISO E. C.. 18 minutes into the game, KS LEW Chorzów's Marian Beninda nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Christiano Arce made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Hélio Vaz might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Christiano Arce. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hélio Vaz ran back to his position shaking his head. Christiano Arce made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Hélio Vaz sent off a good shot on target. Christiano Arce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciro Etor, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Edinho de Moraes in the 27th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by KS LEW Chorzów's Bernard Milko. In the 28th minute, SORRISO E. It was a penalty for SORRISO E. C.! SORRISO E. C.:s Christiano Arce showed great skill when he stopped Marian Beninda:s penalty. In the 31st minute KS LEW Chorzów were awarded a corner. Marian Beninda went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Marian Beninda got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Christiano Arce quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 33rd minute of the match, Hélio Vaz got a very nice opportunity to score, but Christiano Arce was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When André Luís Netto fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SORRISO E. C.'s protests and gave André Luís Netto a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of KS LEW Chorzów booed when SORRISO E. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Luís Netto didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Christiano Arce managed to avoid a goal in the 37thth minute, when KS LEW Chorzów's Hélio Vaz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. André Luís Netto kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfredinho Freitas in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ignacy Zagrobelny saved KS LEW Chorzów from getting behind. 44 minutes into the match, SORRISO E. C.'s goalkeeper Christiano Arce had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hélio Vaz. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hélio Vaz in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christiano Arce saved SORRISO E. C. from getting behind. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marian Beninda was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, KS LEW Chorzów's Ignacy Zagrobelny got control of the ball when Joaquim Queirós tried to sneak it across the goal line. KS LEW Chorzów's Ignacy Zagrobelny proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save KS LEW Chorzów from getting a goal against them. After 60 played minutes KS LEW Chorzów got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Luís Alcântara. Ignacy Zagrobelny acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 62nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Hüsnü Saltuk. In the 85th minute Hélio Vaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christiano Arce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 88th minute, Maicon Oliveira reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ignacy Zagrobelny. The goal made the score 1-2. The supporters of KS LEW Chorzów booed when SORRISO E. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maicon Oliveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. The SORRISO E. C. players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
