An unexpectedly hard shot by Freddy Edur in the 14th minute of play forced FC Puhl's goalkeeper Volkmar Post to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Olimpo B.B.'s goalkeeper Ovidio Dolfo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Olimpo B.B.'s German Botello got a free kick in the 30th minute. It was beautiful to see FC Puhl's Enrico Schemel in action when he in the 32nd minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! A collision led to Olimpo B.B. getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Segundo Sanchez hit a great ball. Volkmar Post made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Freddy Edur in the 36th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling August Kossendey in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ovidio Dolfo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ovidio Dolfo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from August Kossendey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 44 minutes, Timofej Rehnen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Puhl's supporters crossed their fingers, but Timofej Rehnen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tadeo Errapel in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Volkmar Post saved FC Puhl from getting behind. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Freddy Edur to strike the kick off in the second half. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. August Kossendey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Ovidio Dolfo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. August Kossendey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Olimpo B.B. booed when FC Puhl was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Georg Dörpmund didn't get a good kick on the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Timofej Rehnen couldn't finish the play. Volkmar Post stood somewhat misplaced when Tadeo Errapel came free in front of goal and shot 0-2 to the left of him in the 85 minute. Freddy Edur's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Volkmar Post read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. Jacob Marder's late challenge caught a Olimpo B.B.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jacob Marder helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, FC Puhl's Jacob Marder got a free kick in the 95th minute. 96 minutes into the match, Tadeo Errapel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Volkmar Post. FC Puhl's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tadeo Errapel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3.
