Rapa Nui's supporters rose to their feet, but Saúl Anabalon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hachemi Belloumi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hachemi Belloumi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Saúl Anabalon went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. New Orleans AFC's Hachemi Belloumi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Daldos in the 35th minute of play. After 37th play minutes Saúl Anabalon shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Hachemi Belloumi and just under the crossbar into goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abdellah Boniche to make the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Jean-Michel Amara dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Reynaldo Balladares, 4-1. In the 60th minute David Daldos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hachemi Belloumi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rabah Fergani charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rabah Fergani the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 85 minutes into the game, one of New Orleans AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Reynaldo Balladares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jean-Michel Amara in the 92nd minute of the match.
