Rony do Nascimento hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. In the 13th minute, Saúl Anabalon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Oséias da Costa was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Oséias da Costa came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Rapa Nui's Saúl Anabalon. But to his dismay, Saúl Anabalon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. 24 minutes into the match, José Javier Ordaz notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Se Leu Mamou's Oséias da Costa. Oséias da Costa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Xosé Tapia's late challenge caught a Se Leu Mamou's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Xosé Tapia helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Rapa Nui getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Xosé Tapia hit a great ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Saúl Anabalon to make the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Se Leu Mamou's goal looked a bit too open when José Javier Ordaz came free, but Oséias da Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Oséias da Costa made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Saúl Anabalon sent off a good shot on target. In the 84th minute, Germano Loureiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Saúl Anabalon got free with Oséias da Costa in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rapa Nui's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
