But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jose Abarca couldn't finish the play. 4 minutes into the match, New Orleans AFC's Abdellah Boniche sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ovidio Dolfo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Olimpo B.B.'s goalkeeper Ovidio Dolfo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 19 minutes into the match, Abdulhamid Prévost dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ovidio Dolfo, 1-0. Hachemi Belloumi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jose Abarca in the 26th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, New Orleans AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Jose Abarca came free, but Hachemi Belloumi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 31 minutes into the game, Virgilio Urtun was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Olimpo B.B.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave New Orleans AFC the free kick. After 31 played minutes Olimpo B.B. got a freekick which was hit by Virgilio Urtun. Hachemi Belloumi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jose Abarca, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Freddy Edur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Hachemi Belloumi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hachemi Belloumi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jose Abarca's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. Apolo Benvide charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Apolo Benvide the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Apolo Benvide hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Ovidio Dolfo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abdellah Boniche in the 47th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jose Abarca was the one to do the kick off. Ovidio Dolfo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdellah Boniche, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Ovidio Dolfo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abdulhamid Prévost, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 61 minutes into the game, New Orleans AFC's Abdulhamid Prévost nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ovidio Dolfo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in New Orleans AFC's zone, Freddy Edur stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hachemi Belloumi came out of the goal and Freddy Edur tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, New Orleans AFC's Rabah Fergani got a free kick in the 69th minute. When Freddy Edur came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Olimpo B.B. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Freddy Edur couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Albert Kensi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ovidio Dolfo was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. 80 minutes into the match, Olimpo B.B.'s goal looked a bit too open when Abdellah Boniche came free, but Ovidio Dolfo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 81 minutes of play, New Orleans AFC's Abdulhamid Prévost made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ovidio Dolfo was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 86th minute, Abdulhamid Prévost ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ovidio Dolfo was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. 89 minutes into the match, New Orleans AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Freddy Edur came free, but Hachemi Belloumi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89th match minute, New Orleans AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albert Kensi to maneuver through the defense. Freddy Edur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Hachemi Belloumi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. New Orleans AFC had won after a very even match.
