Reynaldo Balladares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robert Rabe in the 14th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert Rabe in the 14th minute of play forced Rapa Nui's goalkeeper Reynaldo Balladares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Rapa Nui's Eustaquio Cauffmann got a free kick in the 29th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by August Kossendey in the 30th minute of play forced Rapa Nui's goalkeeper Reynaldo Balladares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Javier Ordaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Volkmar Post tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Saúl Anabalon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Volkmar Post read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. The wind increased when José Javier Ordaz made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of FC Puhl booed when Rapa Nui was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damario Abufhele didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 55th minute, José Javier Ordaz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Volkmar Post was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. August Kossendey could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Reynaldo Balladares made a huge save. José Javier Ordaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. José Javier Ordaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Volkmar Post having to interfere. Rapa Nui made a substitution. Patricio Gibbs replaced Eustaquio Cauffmann. In the 70th minute, Edilberto Landea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Rapa Nui's goalkeeper Reynaldo Balladares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. José Javier Ordaz might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Volkmar Post. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. José Javier Ordaz ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that José Javier Ordaz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Volkmar Post was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Puhl fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 82nd minute. Penalty! The referee gave Rapa Nui a penalty, 82 minutes into the game. Rapa Nui's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Puhl the free kick. Rapa Nui's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
