In the 10th minute Abdulhamid Prévost shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leopoldo Oliveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Abdulhamid Prévost notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Avencas AD's Leopoldo Oliveira. Leopoldo Oliveira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Hachemi Belloumi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renato de Sousa in the 21st minute of play. Hachemi Belloumi had great luck who in the 22ndth minute grab hold of the ball when Renato de Sousa from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. The New Orleans AFC fans' excitement grew in the 24th match minute when New Orleans AFC's Abdulhamid Prévost looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Jean-Michel Amara fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored New Orleans AFC's protests and gave Jean-Michel Amara a yellow card for diving instead. In the 32nd minute, Jean-Michel Amara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 36 minutes, Abdulhamid Prévost managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. New Orleans AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abdulhamid Prévost was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benjamin Sousa during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Leopoldo Oliveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdellah Boniche in the 41st minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abdulhamid Prévost to make the kick off. If Abdulhamid Prévost had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abdellah Boniche recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abdellah Boniche got free with Leopoldo Oliveira in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 62 played minutes Avencas AD got a freekick which was hit by Duda de Queirós. Leopoldo Oliveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdulhamid Prévost, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Avencas AD's Leopoldo Oliveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abdulhamid Prévost in the 71st minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Renato de Sousa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Zeca Barral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 76thth minute of the game Renato de Sousa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but New Orleans AFC's Hachemi Belloumi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Leopoldo Oliveira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abdellah Boniche in the 78th minute. New Orleans AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Avencas AD the free kick. The supporters of Avencas AD booed when New Orleans AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albert Kensi didn't get a good kick on the ball. New Orleans AFC's Hachemi Belloumi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeca Barral in the 95th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. New Orleans AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
