Martinez Eguilaz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Martinez Eguilaz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olgierd Kowalski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 15 minutes into the match, Hilario Dalmai notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of New Team's Martinez Eguilaz. Martinez Eguilaz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Martinez Eguilaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olgierd Kowalski in the 21st minute of play. Zbyszko Leper showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marin Tejerina in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 23rd minute Venerando Rosines shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zbyszko Leper saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. BYDGOSTIA's Dariusz Smuskiewicz managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Alvaro Rascuro in the 26 minute of the game. Martinez Eguilaz came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by BYDGOSTIA's Olgierd Kowalski. But to his dismay, Olgierd Kowalski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. In the 34th minute, Olgierd Kowalski made a precise shot to the right of Martinez Eguilaz. New Team's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. If Olgierd Kowalski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Martinez Eguilaz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olgierd Kowalski, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 41st minute, Olgierd Kowalski made a precise shot to the right of Martinez Eguilaz. New Team's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-6. Dariusz Smuskiewicz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martinez Eguilaz having to interfere. BYDGOSTIA's Nicklas Lindström quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Jácome Elzuardi, made in the 46th minute of the game. Martinez Eguilaz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Olgierd Kowalski went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-7 was the resulting score. After the first half BYDGOSTIA were leading 1-7. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Olgierd Kowalski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 53 minutes into the game, Vilson Ibarguen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. New Team's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BYDGOSTIA the free kick. In the 54th match minute, New Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vilson Ibarguen to maneuver through the defense. Martinez Eguilaz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Olgierd Kowalski in the 58th minute. A collision led to New Team getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Jácome Elzuardi hit a great ball. If Olgierd Kowalski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. BYDGOSTIA's Marcin Prusinowski was substituted for Piotr Gorzkiewicz. BYDGOSTIA's Yu Ran Fan was substituted for Emil Piesciuk. With a little luck, New Team's Martinez Eguilaz got control of the ball when Marcin Prusinowski tried to sneak it across the goal line.
