Atlético Zelaya's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Bonifacio Aztore in the 23rd minute. After taking down the ball on Atlético Zelaya's corner Jacobo Abechuco fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Loco De la Maza quite easily take care of the ball. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Falckner FC's goalkeeper Loco De la Maza, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Astor Giampietro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Loco De la Maza having to make a save. Santiago Gaizko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gianluca Vialli in the 28th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gianluca Vialli in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Santiago Gaizko prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Elvio Abalos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santiago Gaizko having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, Falckner FC's Gianluca Vialli sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Santiago Gaizko narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Edelmiro Erroman got a throw-in 44 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Osvaldo Lander. 45 minutes into the match, Falckner FC's goal looked a bit too open when Astor Giampietro came free, but Loco De la Maza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Atlético Zelaya's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Bonifacio Aztore in the 47th minute. After the first half Atlético Zelaya were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gianluca Vialli stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Falckner FC's goalkeeper Loco De la Maza, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gianluca Vialli blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Santiago Gaizko having to make a save. Santiago Gaizko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gianluca Vialli, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. 59 minutes into the match, Falckner FC's goalkeeper Loco De la Maza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Astor Giampietro. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Gianluca Vialli managed to get in a good position for a shot. Falckner FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gianluca Vialli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Santiago Gaizko breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Falckner FC's Severino Gabrio was substituted for Gaspar Baraquiel. Loco De la Maza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Astor Giampietro in the 70th minute. Atlético Zelaya's Santiago Gaizko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elvio Abalos in the 73rd minute of play. In the 86th match minute, Falckner FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severino Gabrio to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Atlético Zelaya's Astor Giampietro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Loco De la Maza. That made the score 0-3 after 88 minutes of play. Severino Gabrio hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Gianluca Vialli charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gianluca Vialli the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 93rd match minute, Falckner FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gianluca Vialli to maneuver through the defense. The Falckner FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Atlético Zelaya's performance. The match ended with a win for Atlético Zelaya.
