The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Evelio Milian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roman Riquelme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Santiago Gaizko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Honorio Hunfredo in the 5th minute of the match. Santiago Gaizko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bartolo Buinton in the 7th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Jarana FC's goal looked a bit too open when Roman Riquelme came free, but Evelio Milian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Jarana FC's Bartolo Buinton in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 17th match minute, Atlético Zelaya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mauro Kiliz to maneuver through the defense. The corner led to Jarana FC's Valko De Hond getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Santiago Gaizko came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Jarana FC's Bartolo Buinton. But to his dismay, Bartolo Buinton quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After having played for 28 minutes, Bartolo Buinton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jarana FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bartolo Buinton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bartolo Buinton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Santiago Gaizko read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. 31 minutes had been played when some careless play by Atlético Zelaya's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Kalmer Üksvärav was slow to take the kick. During this time Jarana FC's players had a chance to rest. Evelio Milian made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Astor Giampietro sent off a good shot on target. After 36 played minutes Atlético Zelaya got a freekick which was hit by Edelmiro Erroman. In the 37thth minute of the game Bartolo Buinton who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atlético Zelaya's Santiago Gaizko was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Santiago Gaizko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bartolo Buinton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 38 minutes into the game, Jarana FC's Bartolo Buinton nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Santiago Gaizko made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. The supporters of Atlético Zelaya booed when Jarana FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mateusz Piontkovskiy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bartolo Buinton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Santiago Gaizko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bartolo Buinton in the 46th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
Bartolo Buinton might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Santiago Gaizko. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bartolo Buinton ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bartolo Buinton in the 51st minute of play forced Atlético Zelaya's goalkeeper Santiago Gaizko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Evelio Milian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacobo Abechuco, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. With a little luck, Atlético Zelaya's Santiago Gaizko got control of the ball when Bartolo Buinton tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bartolo Buinton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 59 minutes into the match, Atlético Zelaya's goalkeeper Santiago Gaizko had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bartolo Buinton. Atlético Zelaya's Santiago Gaizko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bartolo Buinton in the 61st minute of play. If Bartolo Buinton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute, Wilfredo Gitano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jarana FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. After having played for 92 minutes, Wilfredo Gitano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jarana FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilfredo Gitano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 94 minutes into the match, Wilfredo Gitano notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Atlético Zelaya's Santiago Gaizko. Santiago Gaizko was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Jarana FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Jarana FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
