The corner led SC Pfullendorf's David Moya to fire away a dangerous shot which Austen Farrow despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 18th match minute, Cementerio Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thanos Kotsalos to maneuver through the defense. Wlodzimierz Penczkowski might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kıvanç Yücesan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wlodzimierz Penczkowski ran back to his position shaking his head. SC Pfullendorf's Kıvanç Yücesan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wlodzimierz Penczkowski in the 22nd minute of play. In the 26th minute Miguel Rodríguez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Austen Farrow saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wlodzimierz Penczkowski in the 30th minute of play forced SC Pfullendorf's goalkeeper Kıvanç Yücesan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Florentino Celipe hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Kong Guo Chong received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Argyris Zagorakis to strike the kick off in the second half.
