In the 26th minute Felix Txilar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Narciso Guimarães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. October 04's defense didn't have a chance, in the 26th minute, when Vitaliy Fedchenko scored to the left of an out of position Narciso Guimarães, making the score, 1-0. After a rather tough play, FC Anderlecht Huachipato's Carlos José Opazo got a free kick in the 30th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ruy Lira during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of FC Anderlecht Huachipato booed when October 04 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. The audience was convinced that Horácio Aguiar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Serbülent Baysan was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. Baumar Ontanilla might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Narciso Guimarães. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Baumar Ontanilla ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to FC Anderlecht Huachipato getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Alexandrino Gameiro hit a great ball. FC Anderlecht Huachipato's Serbülent Baysan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horácio Aguiar in the 68th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Reinaldo Carneiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alexandrino Gameiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. After 92 minutes of play, FC Anderlecht Huachipato's Alexandrino Gameiro made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Narciso Guimarães was left in no man's land by his defense there! There was no doubt that FC Anderlecht Huachipato were the better team. FC Anderlecht Huachipato's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
